Our Olive View luxury pods are situated on a farm just outside of the town of Wellington, which is about a 60 minute drive from Cape Town.

Populated by an orchard of old olive trees and abundant, fragrant fynbos, the quiet call of the country creates a sense of seclusion and privacy for our guests - with a keen focus on modern design and comfort in the pods themselves. 

The farm is 100% off-grid, solar powered and eco-friendly, with no chemicals used in the cabins and most of the farm’s original landscape preserved. The clearing of alien vegetation and rehabilitation is an ongoing project, and we are committed to preserving as much of the farm’s natural fynbos heritage as possible.

A fully equipped kitchen

We know what it's like to chop veggies with a blunt knife and we're not going to put you through that. Our kitchens are stocked with top quality equipment and include a 2-plate gas stove, crockery, cutlery, utensils, fridge, freezer & coffee plunger.

High quality basics

We've sourced essentials of the highest quality from nearby farms and producers. Think exceptional pour-over coffee, local olive oil, wines and fresh produce, plus all the basics: milk, sugar, salt & pepper.

Adventure & exploration

At untether, we're big on considered exploration. That is to say, we've thought about where to go and what to do, so that you don't have to. No matter where you are, we’ll ensure adventure is right on your doorstep… All you have to do is arrive.

We know your trip might not be all play and no work. For those looking for a change of scenery to inspire meaningful and mindful productivity, we ensure that you have a dedicated workspace and fast wifi available - when you want it.

   Olive View is situated just 60 minutes away from Cape Town, near the picturesque town of Wellington. 
A 6km dirt road that turns into a brick road will get you to the farm. You will need to drive slowly, but the farm is accessible by small car.

Considered Exploration in Wellington

There is absolutely no shortage of things to do at and around Olive View:

  • A multitude of nature walks, hiking and mountain bike trails are all accessible from the farm, with routes to suit all fitness and energy levels.

  • There is an abundance of indigenous fynbos to identify and inhale.

  • Natural pools and waterfalls in the Bainskloof area to explore and cool off in.

  • Wellington is one of the best bird-watching destinations in the Western Cape, so expect to spot a variety of birds on the farm and in the surrounding Bainskloof area and Limietberg nature reserve.

  • A wide selection of surrounding wine farms - with tours & tastings available to be booked on request. Free wine tasting at our neighbours, Upland Organic Estate, is included in your stay.

  • For the thrill seekers, world class skydiving is on offer at the nearby Diemerskraal airfield.

  • A long list of local restaurants and cafes to try, with coffee tastings and pairings available to be booked on request.

    - 100% refund of deposit if cancelled 30 days before

    - 50% deposit if cancelled 14 days before

    - No refund if cancelled less than 7 days before
